Military Bases
The following active and former military bases are located within the State of Kansas and active during the time which the Boy Scouts of America used community strips to identify the home location of the unit. This time frames is generally 1928 through 1972 when CSPs were introduced. Community strips were completely phased out in 1978. Military base strips were used for a similar purpose as community strips, but for units chartered on a military base. Following are the known issues for Kansas. A special thank you to Blake Keasey and Mike Berenson for contributing images. If you have additional strips to share, please contact us.
